Australia Day
Australia Day is on Friday January 26. No matter how you wish to acknowledge this day, it offers an opportunity to pause and reflect, to honour the multifaceted history of our nation and to celebrate Australia's achievements and its people. For some, it is an extra day off to relax and unwind, connecting with family and friends.
Enjoy a long summer's day out in Darling Harbour, where you can learn something new by embarking on our free public art trail, or an revel in an evening at Blak Powerhouse, filled with live music, workshops, art, food and more. Take a tour of delicious multicultural cuisine with over 150 places to eat and drink and don't forget a pedal boat ride on the harbour, and round of Pixar Putt. We're also adding a splash of entertainment to the water playground and Darling Quarter Village Green with roving performers and live acoustic music.
Please note there are no fireworks on Australia Day. See the fireworks schedule here.
Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.
Blak Powerhouse is back, and it's bigger, bolder and blaker than ever. On 26 January Indigenous social enterprise We Are Warriors will take over Powerhouse Ultimo, turning a day of sorrow into one of power and positivity.
