Koi Lantern Making Workshop

Get ready to light up your imagination and join us for a spectacular Lantern Making Workshop these school holidays!

Lanterns hold a special place in Chinese culture, symbolising light, joy, and celebration. From the dazzling Lantern Festival that marks the end of the Chinese New Year to the enchanting Moon Festival, where families gather under the full moon, lanterns bring colour and cheer to these festive occasions.

During this workshop, you’ll dive into the rich traditions behind lanterns and learn about the beautiful koi fish often featured in their designs. Discover how koi symbolise perseverance, success, longevity, and courage, and get inspired to create your own lantern masterpiece.

Three sessions will run daily (weekdays only) during the September school holidays at the Chinese Garden of Friendship, Darling Harbour.
