It's time to fire up the fun! The Year of the Dragon is here to wish you good luck, honour and success.

Reunite with family and friends to enjoy colourful lion dances, three thrilling days of dragon boat races, and awe-inspiring shows all weekend long. Witness 300 drones paint the sky with good luck & prosperity every Friday, watch jetpack performers take flight in spectacular Lunar New Year costumes each Saturday, and then, on Sundays, brace yourself for dazzling fireworks!

It wouldn't be a celebration without food, so be sure to round up your loved ones for a cozy dinner or bustling banquet. There are over 150 places to eat and drink in Darling Harbour, including authentic Asian eats in Darling Square and Darling Quarter. 

Celebrations at the Chinese Garden of Friendship

There's no better place to ring in the Year of the Dragon than at the Chinese Garden of Friendship. See colourful lion dances, find out what the year has in store for you in a private zodiac reading, enjoy free creative workshops and so much more. 

DRONE SHOWS

Each Friday at 9pm during Lunar New Year witness 300 synchronized drones take flight during a spectacular 10 minute show symbolizing good luck, prosperity, and of course, the mighty Dragon. 

JET PACK PERFORMANCES

On Saturday 10 and 24 February, entertainers dressed in Lunar New Year themed costumes will fly sky-high on Cockle Bay. Get a spot near the water's edge for the best views!
