Vivid Sydney Night Guided Kayak Tours
As the sun sets over Sydney and we cast off in our kayaks, watch the city come to life and illuminate around you from your floating vantage point.
Our leisurely paddle loop starts and finishes at the Australian National Maritime Museum. We get to safely explore the illuminated waters of Darling Harbour, taking in the magnificent light-shows of VIVID 2024.
Barani offers a bittersweet narrative, rich with historical and cultural significance, and a new way to see the land on which we stand today. Using a unique blend of modern, digital illustration and First Nations iconography, a moving coming-of-age and mother-and-son story unfolds before us.
Barani is a unique collaboration between the Australian National Maritime Museum, and Studio Gilay as part of Vivid Sydney
We will paddle to the Pyrmont Bridge for a wonderful view of Hika Rakuyo, This spectacular artwork is a Japanese concept that uses flowers and falling leaves as a metaphor for the transient beauty of life.
Told through an eight-minute holographic light and laser show of Hika Rakuyo, admire the story of native Australian flowers blooming across the dark water of the bay.
These guided kayaking tours provide a rare opportunity to paddle through Darling Harbour on a moonlit adventure that allows you to experience Sydney’s VIVID Festival from a unique and crowd-free perspective.
Join us and take this unique and rare opportunity to paddle through Sydney’s iconic Harbour under the moonlight and experience our city like never before.
The sea kayaks that we will be paddling in are a Mirage Sea Kayaks Touring double - they are very stable and have a wonderful glide.
