The ultimate taste of South by Southwest® Sydney, right in the heart of Darling Harbour.

Darling Harbour will buzz with excitement from October 14–20, 2024, as SXSW Sydney’s public program takes over. For seven days and nights, the heart of the city will transform into a vibrant creative hub, showcasing world-class brand activations, inspiring talks, tech demos, live music, meet and greets, esports competitions, and much more.

Tumbalong Park will once again be the centerpiece of SXSW Sydney’s free events, offering even more thrilling experiences throughout Darling Harbour in 2024.

Badgeholders, wristband-holders, and the general public are invited to explore fresh ideas, cutting-edge innovations, and emerging artists, while experiencing the essence of SXSW Sydney’s core themes: Tech & Innovation, Games, Music, and Screen.

HIGHLIGHTS

A Celebration of India's Creative Communities
Prepare for a spectacular celebration of Indian creative culture as "+91 Calling!" takes over the Tumbalong Park Main Stage on Sunday, October 20. This electrifying event will showcase six acts from India and the Indian diaspora—one of the most dynamic entertainment forces today—with performances spanning hip-hop, pop, R&B, club, and neo-classical genres. Tech & Innovation Taster

Throughout event week, Tumbalong Park will be the epicenter of Tech & Innovation programming, featuring cutting-edge technology demonstrations and unexpected delights on the Main Stage. A brand-new addition for SXSW Sydney 2024, The Dome presented by The Growth Distillery, will also be unveiled.

Don't miss the Innovation Showcase, where the latest advancements in rocketry, robotics, engineering, mechanics, science, and technology will be on display. Additionally, get a glimpse of the future of motorcycles with the ZERO Australian 100% electric bike showcase, featuring the prototype ZERO SR/X. And that's just the beginning!

Papa Salt Brings the Vibes

On Saturday, October 19, Papa Salt will set the mood at the Tumbalong Park Main Stage with the Australian premiere screening of The Endless Summer 60th Anniversary. The evening will continue with an afterparty featuring live music from SXSW Sydney Music Festival acts BALTHVS and Touch Sensitive.

Gamers Unite!

On Sunday, October 20, the Acer Predator League Academy will crown its first-ever champion at Tumbalong Park. Two top high schools from Australia and New Zealand will face off in the only Fortnite competition designed specifically for high schools.

In an exciting twist, Fortnite icons Lachlan and Loserfruit, along with Team PWR, will be onstage to present the winning school with their trophy.
