Traditional Chinese Music

This concert, jointly organised by Guizhou Chinese Orchestra and China Cultural Centre in Sydney, features a selection of traditional and contemporary Chinese traditional music pieces. It integrates Guizhou folk instruments with the  Chinese traditional music instruments, showcasing the rich musical heritage of Guizhou and offering the audience an authentic cultural experience.

Experience the captivating sounds of the Guizhou Chinese Orchestra, a group that has been enchanting audiences since 2003. Recognised in 2018 as one of China’s top orchestras by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, this ensemble brings together top-tier talent from prestigious music institutions both locally and globally.

Over the years, the orchestra has taken the stage at hundreds of concerts, from performances across China to appearances in the USA, Canada, France, Australia, Nepal, and regions such as Hong Kong, Macaus and Chinese Taiwan. Their award-winning performances have also shone at international music festivals, national Chinese instrumental art festivals, and regional competitions.
