Vivid Moonlight Sea Kayaking

Sydney Harbour Kayaks presents Moonlight Sea kayaks at Vivid Sydney Festival Sydney Harbour Kayaks presents three weeks of very special night-time Sea-Kayaking Guided Experiences.

As the sun sets over Sydney and cast off your kayaks, paddle through Darling Harbour and adventure into Sydney Harbour and return. Watch the city come to life and illuminate around you from your floating vantage point.

Starting and finishing at the Australian National Maritime Museum the leisurely paddle loop will have you exploring the illuminated waters of Darling Harbour, taking in the magnificent light-shows of Vivid Sydney 2023 including 'Harbour Life' and 'Elemental'.

Harbour Life is a 7-minute animation and sound design projection mapped onto the museum rooftop and the HMAS Vampire, Australia's largest museum object. Harbour Life is a unique collaboration between the Australian National Maritime Museum, award-winning Sydney-based creative projects company Artists in Motion as part of Vivid Sydney.

Also get the opportunity to paddle to the Pyrmont Bridge to get a wonderful view of ELEMENTAL, a breathtaking show that celebrates the elements - fire, air, water and earth - combining spectacular 80 metre water shooters, flames, projection and pyro technics.

These guided kayaking tours provide a rare opportunity to paddle through Darling Harbour on a moonlit adventure that allows you to experience Sydney’s Vivid Sydney Festival from a unique and crowd-free perspective. Tours depart at 6.30pm and 8.30pm. Duration 90 mins. from May 27 to June 17, 2023
