The best things to do these Winter school holidays in Darling Harbour
Amazing Arctic Family Race
Ready to compete for winter glory (and a sweet little trophy) at the Amazing Arctic Family Race? Head to the Alpine Activity Area at the Pier St Underpass, where you and your little ones are invited to join a team and complete a range of activities - from thinking puzzles and games, to creative building challenges and physical competitions - all designed to encourage teamwork and heaps of fun.
Get creative at fun winter workshops
Pier St Underpass is also where you’ll find plenty of free fun workshops to keep the kids entertained. There’ll be snowflake and igloo photo moments, and a number of free workshops from 12-5pm on select days including:
- Thursday 6 & 13 July: Snow Globe Making Workshop
- Friday 7 & 14 July: Winter Slime Workshop
- Saturday 8 & 15 July: Winter Penguin Making Workshop
- Sunday 9 & 16 July: 3D Wooden Snowflake Making Workshop
Get down with DJs at kids dance parties
Do your little ones like to wiggle (or do you need an excuse to dance)? The Alpine Activity Area will also be home to kids DJs and dance classes, courtesy of the Destructive Dance Steps Crew.
Grab a bite at Pumphouse Sydney
Right at the doorstep of the Alpine Activity Area is beloved bar and restaurant, Pumphouse Sydney. They’re joining in the Alpine action with a special food menu featuring Beef Brisket Burgers, Chicken Tenders, Milky Hot Chocs and more. Perfect for parents and their picky eaters!
Watch fireworks over the harbour
Nothing says winter magic quite like fireworks over the Sydney Harbour. Complete your big day out by heading to Cockle Bay to enjoy a special winter themed fireworks show - best enjoyed with the entire family!
