Pyrmont Bridge is a shared path used by pedestrians and cyclists, providing a scenic gateway to Darling Harbour—from Sydney’s CBD to the east, and inner city to the west.

On Pyrmont Bridge, as on all shared paths, cyclists are required to give way to pedestrians at all times, even if that means coming to a complete stop. The speed limit on the bridge for cyclists is 10km/h.

Darling Drive is now also open as a shared path, allowing cyclists to access Darling Harbour, Darling Square, Pyrmont and Ultimo.

There are 50 bicycle racks located at the ICC Sydney and 40 bicycle racks at Darling Quarter that are available for public use.

The Place Management Division of Property NSW is working closely with transport agencies, the City of Sydney and other interested groups to ensure the harmonious flow of traffic between cyclists and pedestrians along this busy thoroughfare. Please adhere to the signs along Pyrmont Bridge and be mindful of Shared Path etiquette.

Take the train to Town Hall Station and exit south into Bathurst Street. A short downhill walk on Bathurst Street will take you directly to Darling Quarter, Tumbalong Park and the Sydney Visitor Centre.

Take the train to Central Station. Follow the signs to the South Concourse and UTS via the Devonshire Street Tunnel. Go west to George Street, cross beneath George Street, and take the Ultimo Pedestrian Network. Take The Goods Line to its northern end, at Macarthur Street. Turn right and cross Darling Drive onto Hay Street. Turn left into Darling Harbour where Hay Street meets Quay Street.
