Get up close to all the action and watch this heart-stopping competition, as the spectacular dragon boats race through the harbour to the pounding of drums and the cheering of spectators.

Sunday 25 February, 9am – 3pm (WSFM celebrity team race at 12 noon)
Free to spectate (team entries have now closed)
More than 3,000 paddlers will churn up the water as thousands of spectators line the banks of Cockle Bay to watch the 12-metre long boats battle it out in the southern hemisphere’s largest dragon boat racing festival.
Join WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda on Saturday 24 February as they take to the water to compete in their very own Celebrity Dragon Boat Race to find the ultimate Dragon Boat champion.
Come and see a unique Eye Dotting Ceremony, in which red paint is dabbed onto the eyes of each boat’s figurehead, and blessing of the waters. These ceremonies traditionally ensure a safe weekend of racing and the awakening of the dragons.
Presented by the City of Sydney, don’t miss this exciting event at this year’s Sydney Chinese New Year Festival.
